As the festive season is right around the corner, so are many festive events, including local Christmas lights switch ons. Here are those that are taking place in the region this year.
Wolverhampton city centre, Queen Square: 3 - 7pm (Switch-on 6pm)
A full afternoon of entertainment begins at 3pm with a funfair, real reindeer, face painting, food and drink and much more. Kids favourite Bluey will entertain the children with The Voice Star Lia White taking to the stage to warm up the audience before R&B boyband Damage serenade the crowd with a set of their hits.
They will then be joined by the Mayor of Wolverhampton Councillor Dr Michael Hardacre, alongside stars of this year’s Grand Theatre pantomime Snow White and Father Christmas to switch on the lights at 6pm.

Halesowen, Hagley St: 11am - 5pm (Switch-on 5pm)
Starting from 11am, the crowds can enjoy a funfair, a collection of market stalls and street entertainment from local performers
Brierley Hill, Moor Centre: 11am - 5pm (Switch-on 5pm)
Festivities kick off from 11am, with free craft and lego sessions, balloon modelling, street entertainment, a classic holiday pantomime in the market and funfair ride on Moor Street Centre.
