Dudley Zoo are inviting visitors to sign up for a 5K sponsored walk at the zoo on Saturday 27 September to raise funds for Painted Dog Conservation and DZC’s conservation projects.

Zoo Director, Matt Lewis, said: “We’re really excited for this event, which is going to be great fun for all the family! We’re encouraging participants to dress in capes and masks and come and be a ‘zooperhero’ for wildlife and use their super powers to help us raise funds not only for Painted Dog Conservation, which works to protect and rehabilitate painted dogs in the wild, but also our own ongoing conservation work on-site.”

The walk is open to all ages and will take place around the 40-acre zoo, allowing participants to see their favourite animals along the way, including the newly arrived painted dog pack.

Registration is £10 per person, which includes zoo admission, allowing you to spend the rest of the day on site. Up to four spectators per participant can also pre-book £10 entry.

In order to raise as much money as possible, Zooperheroes are encouraged to seek sponsorship for their efforts, with an animal adoption up for the grabs for the person who raises the most money.

Once pre-registered online you will receive a sponsorship pack with more details. You can sign up for the Zooperhero Walk For Wildlife at dudleyzoo.org.uk.
