Beacon Centre for the Blind brings back its much-loved Colour Run to Wolverhampton’s East Park this May.

The popular event will return on Sunday 17 May 2026, with families, schools, businesses, and community groups coming together in support of people living with sight loss across the Black Country.

As participants make their way around the 5K course, they will be blasted with coloured powder at 14 stations.

This year, Beacon has frozen ticket prices at 2025 rates to help make the event accessible for as many people as possible. Adult tickets are £15, children’s tickets £10, and under 3s £3, and everyone who takes part, whether they run, walk, or even skip their way around the course, gets a medal.

The Colour Run is a highlight of Beacon’s fundraising calendar and helps the charity support more than 37,000 people living with sight loss across the region.

Sarah Dovey, Fundraising Manager at Beacon, said: “The Beacon Colour Run is one of the most joyful events of the year. Seeing hundreds of people come together, laughing, running, and getting completely covered in colour, while raising vital funds for people with sight loss is truly amazing. By freezing our ticket prices this year, we hope even more families, friends and colleagues will feel able to join us.”

Participants are encouraged to raise sponsorship to boost the impact of the event and help Beacon continue delivering life-changing services including wellbeing support and practical advice.

A professional photographer will be on hand to capture every colourful moment of the day with free downloads available for all ticketholders. Those who take part can also choose bundle packages packed with colourful extras, including a Colour Run T-shirt, powder pack and sunglasses. Adult bundles are £24.99, and child bundles £19.99. A family bundle is also available for £54.99 and includes two adult tickets, two children’s tickets and a range of colourful accessories for everyone taking part.
