The historic coronation of King Charles III is to be broadcast live on a big screen at Himley Hall and Park on Saturday 6 May.

The large LED screen will be located in the grounds of the park, with deck chairs in place to allow members of the public to sit and watch the crowning of the King and the Queen Consort from 9.30am.

Visitors will be able to bring picnics or purchase food and drinks from Himley Hall Coffee Lounge, which will be open for extended hours from 9am to 5.30pm on Coronation day.

The lounge will be offering a special British themed menu, including Coronation cupcakes, scones with jam and clotted cream, coronation chicken baguettes, and more sweet and savoury treats.

Families will also be able to enjoy a free Gnome on the Throne coronation trail with clues located across the park. Activity sheets can be collected from the terrace by the hall.

The event is free with no tickets required. The standard car parking charges at the park will apply.

Visitors to the screening are encouraged to send pictures of themselves celebrating the coronation to capa.events@dudley.gov.uk for inclusion in the council’s online photo gallery.
