Bilston’s new £8 million outdoor market will welcome customers for the first time on Thursday 2 July, as traders move into the redeveloped site.

The project, funded by the Government and City of Wolverhampton Council, has delivered a modern market featuring a purpose-built canopy, improved access, upgraded toilets, enhanced stalls, new signage, public spaces and a flexible events area.

A special opening celebration will take place on Saturday 11 July, from 10am to 3pm. Hosted by Dicky Dodd, the event will feature celebrity chef Glynn Purnell, family entertainment, live performances, craft activities, a mini food festival and free goody bags while stocks last.

Bilston Market is open Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 8am to 4pm.
