Newhampton Arts Centre in Wolverhampton has been awarded £40,850 under the Arts Council England Emergency Fund for National Portfolio Organisations (NPO).

The fund provides financial assistance to NPOs by making emergency grants available to help them survive during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Twenty-four organisations in the Midlands will receive 17.1% of the total UK funding.

Commenting, Newhampton Arts Centre's CEO, Trevelyan Wright, said: "The funding will help NAC stabilise its position over the next few months while we develop our plans for reopening to the public. We look forward to welcoming them back for live music, theatre, courses and classes when it is safe to do so."
