Robust coronavirus safety measures have been put into place at Coombe Abbey Hotel as it open its doors today (11 July).
Included among them is a brand-new app, designed to allow people to check-in and out via their phone. The app will also act as a key card for rooms, and can be used to order room service too.
There will also be self-check-in kiosks in the reception area and protective screens at the reception desk. Cashless payments will be encouraged and there will be thermal thermometers to check the temperatures of workers and guests.
The frequency of cleaning will be increased, sanitiser units will be available and one-way systems will be in place where possible, with floor markings for guidance.
The hotel has also carried out a Covid-19 risk assessment and has demonstrated it is adhering to government and public-health guidelines in partnership with The National Tourist Organisations of Great Britain & Northern Ireland.
Ron Terry, General Manager of Coombe Abbey Hotel, said that all measures will be constantly monitored and adapted when required: “We’re very much looking forward to welcoming everyone back, but our main concern at Coombe Abbey Hotel is of course the health of our guests and staff.
“This is why we've put all these vigorous procedures in place to continue to make sure that the hotel is an enjoyable place to visit and work, even during these unprecedented times.
“We hope all our procedures help to reassure everyone that we are taking this very seriously and striving to make the hotel as safe as possible while ensuring that levels of service will not be compromised."
