Black Country Living Museum will host a series of festive evening and daytime events throughout the season, from fun-filled workshops to atmospheric Christmas Nights, inviting visitors of all ages to immerse themselves into the atmosphere of Christmas.
Experience the Museum at its festive best at BCLM’s Christmas Nights (Fri 6, Sat 7, Fri 13, Sat 14, Fri 20 & Sat 21 Dec). Take a seasonal stroll through gas-lit streets as you hum along to merry music, explore period shops and houses decked out for the season, and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Christmas.
See a whole host of yuletide entertainment including carol singers, bell ringers and a brass band creating the perfect festive backdrop. There’ll be a mouth-watering menu of festive food and drink available including roast chestnuts, mince pies and mulled wine. Visitors can also meet historic characters as they celebrate the season – and don’t forget to say hello to Santa!
Children and adults alike can join the fun-filled search for Santa at the Museum’s unforgettable Santa Hunts (Sat 23, Sun 24, Sat 30 Nov, Sun 1, Sat 7, Sun 8, Sat 14, Sun 15, Fri 20 – Tue 24 Dec). With a festive character as their guide, children will take part in an unforgettable quest, meeting a series of characters along the way. By solving enchanted clues, sprinkling ‘magic dust’ on reindeer shoes and even sending letters up the chimney to Santa’s workshop, kids will eventually find Santa’s secret hideout.
The Museum is also hosting a programme of Christmas themed craft workshops where visitors can create their own rag rug wreaths and willow decorations.
