Wightwick Manor and Gardens will be illuminated by colour, culture, music and storytelling this autumn as the National Trust property celebrates Diwali with a programme of special events inspired by the Festival of Light.

Running from 24 October to 8 November, Fusion Part 2: A Diwali Installation will transform the Wolverhampton manor with a colourful display created by local artist Kanj Nicholas. Developed through community printing workshops and inspired by Wightwick's Arts and Crafts heritage, the installation blends Indian textiles, bold colours and traditional motifs in a celebration of Diwali and cultural connection. Admission is included with normal entry to the manor.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy live music performances in the manor’s Great Parlour throughout the two-week celebration. Acclaimed sitar player Chithrinie Nirupama will perform from 26 to 28 October, while tabla and flute duo Soulful Sangeet, featuring Mendi Singh and Shubham Tageja, will perform on 29 October and again on 6 and 7 November. Performances will take place between 12pm and 3pm on each day.

The programme continues with The Dark Forest - Ghost Stories at Diwali on 30 and 31 October. Acclaimed British Punjabi storyteller Peter Chand will bring tales of light and darkness to life in the atmospheric setting of Wightwick Manor's Great Parlour, offering visitors a unique evening inspired by Diwali traditions.
