Movie fans can enjoy a trip to the cinema for just £5 as Wolverhampton's Lockworks Cinema celebrates a successful first year in the city centre.

The independent four-screen venue, based in the historic Chubb Building, is marking its anniversary after welcoming more than 70,000 visitors through its doors since opening. The milestone highlights the growing popularity of the cinema, which has helped bring a major entertainment destination back to the heart of Wolverhampton.

To thank customers for their support, Lockworks Cinema is offering all standard tickets for just £5 on Saturday 11 July, giving film fans the chance to enjoy the latest blockbusters and family releases at a fraction of the usual cost.

The city centre venue opened following a major refurbishment that transformed the former Light House cinema space into a modern four-screen complex featuring luxury seating and the latest cinema technology. The project was backed by a £2 million joint investment from operator PDJ and City of Wolverhampton Council.
