DJ Woody Cook will be spinning the decks blasting out dance anthems and club classics as part of this year's Black Country Musicom Festival.

Woody, the son of DJ Norman Cook (aka Fat Boy Slim) and presenter Zoe Ball, is the first big name confirmed for the eagerly-awaited event on Saturday 15 July.

Dance Anthems and Club Classics event will run from 3pm to 10pm and Woody will be joined by local DJs Stuart Ojelay and Andy Gulch, with more big names to be added to the line-up in the coming weeks.

The event is part of a weekend of fun at Himley, with the big Black Country Weekender also featuring the return of Musicom on Sunday 16 July.

Running from 12pm to 8pm the Sunday event will feature a number of top tribute bands on the main stage to the likes of Madonna, Coldplay, Harry Styles, ELO and the Eagles.

Also confirmed is Let’s Rock The 70s, a tribute band bringing all the decade’s greatest hits from the likes of Queen, Status Quo, Elton John, David Bowie and loads more.

There will also be a comedy tent, funfair, food and drink stalls, street entertainment and performances from local bands and musicians.
