Lichfield Fuse Festival which was due to take place at the city's Beacon Park from Friday 10 to Sunday 11 July has been cancelled due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

In a statement issued on 28 April, organisers stated they were "monitoring government announcements and recommendations to see if we can create an alternative event later in the year. We are flexible and can move quickly if the situation changes."

"So, with the help of our brilliant suppliers and supporters we are exploring alternative options as more information becomes available. Nothing is certain yet, but rest assured we will do everything we can to bring some much needed joy into people's lives by delivering Fuse in some form later in the year. We will keep you updated with any developments."

Since its innaugural event in 2001, Fuse has become one of the largest free community events of its kind in Staffordshire and the West Midlands, attracting around 18,000 visitors in 2019.
