Artrix brings a magical mix of terrific family treats for this October half term.

The holiday fun kicks off with a screening of Asterix: The Secret Of The Magic Potion on Saturday 26 October at 11am. Artrix runs regular Saturday Family Matinee Cinema screenings in the comfort of the Main Auditorium.  Asterix returns to the big screen with anew instalment in the hugely enjoyable animated series based on the best-loved satirical comic book heroes.  Rated PG.

On Tuesday 29 October, acclaimed children’s writers and illustrator Nick Sharratt returns to Artrix with his Right Royal Drawalong, a family friendly, fun filled show, with Nick showing you how to sketch favourite characters and fantastic creatures. Bring pencils, paper and something to lean on. Suitable for ages 4+.

The theatre fun continues on Wednesday 30 October with Standing 8 Theatre Company’s production of Seeking Isolde. It’s a new family show, about rediscovering a mythical Kingdom in the times of King Arthur. Imagine Horrible Histories meets the world’s geekiest Indiana Jones in this hilarious new show with original songs. Suitable for ages 7+.

Half term at Artrix is brought to a close with another family matinee movie, as A Miniscule Adventure hits the big screen on Saturday 2 November at 11am. This beautiful, dialogue-free animation sees a team of bugs set off on a overseas adventure. Rated U. Tickets for all Artrix Saturday Family Matinee screenings are just £14 for a family of four.
