An annual Worcestershire brass band festival is to go online this year in the face of coronavirus restrictions.

The Pershore Midsummer Brass festival, which brings together bands from across the Midlands and beyond for a non-competitive day of musicmaking, was due to take place in early July.

Instead, the bands who were booked to perform at the festival have provided footage of performances, which will be shown online on Saturday (4 July).

Performances will be available to view every half hour throughout the day, from 10am.
The final piece will be a performance of a new work by Lockdown Brass, an ensemble comprising musicians from three local bands.

The day’s full schedule will be available on social media on Friday.  The performances will be free to view and remain available on YouTube until 10pm on Sunday (5 July).
