The ever-popular Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park is marking its 25th year in 2024, returning on Saturday 7 September.

This much-loved concert has become a perennial favourite with thousands of residents joining fans from far and wide to enjoy a musical and visual extravaganza.

Free to attend, the event has live classical music, picnics, drinks and a fireworks finale.

The City of Lichfield Concert Band kicks off the concert. It’s a community wind band featuring 45 musicians of all ages from across the area playing a mixture of popular classical music, medleys, jazz, film scores and pop.

The British Police Symphony Orchestra then treats the audience to a specially arranged selection culminating in the stirring Proms classics such as Pomp & Circumstance by Elgar.

With children’s rides in the fun zone there is entertainment for all ages plus a selection of food stalls if you  would like get your refreshments at the event.

To celebrate 25 years of Lichfield Proms, Lichfield District Council will be celebrating each year of the event on their social media channels as the big day approaches. If you have any photos from the Proms throughout the years, you can share them here.
