Calling all Artists to be creative in the beautiful grounds

Avoncroft Museum is home to over 30 historic buildings and structures which have been rescued and re-built in rural Worcestershire.

in association with Avoncroft Arts Centre 19 July 2026, as part of the Bromsgrove Festival. The gates will be open from 9.30am so you artists can choose the pitch they desire, set up and be ready for the judges to decide on winners by 3pm. Visitors who want to come along for the day to admire the artist at work can simply book a day ticket.

Information for prospective entrants:

• Bring equipment, and set up in a chosen location around 19 acres of Avoncroft's countryside. The site has over 30 historic buildings and structures, and you can also set up inside them.
• Spend the day (Sunday 19 July) creating your artwork from 9.30am, with judging at 3pm.
• Select your choice of art medium - paints, chalk, pastels etc.
• The museum will be open to the public so please be prepared for some interaction.
• Finish at home - frame and mount your art, to be brought to the Public Exhibition on 19th & 20th September 2026, at Avoncroft's Heritage Open Day Free Weekend.
• You decide if you want to sell your art and how much (a percentage will be taken for costs).
• The cost of adult artist entry is £12.50 which includes entrance to the museum (pre booked ticket only).
• The cost of child artist entry (under 16s) is £5 which includes entrance to the museum (pre booked tickets only)
• Child Artist will require an accompanying adult who must purchase a day ticket
• People accompanying the Artist i.e. partners, parents please buy a day ticket
• There will be Free Tea, Filter Coffee and squash for entrants.
• Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd entrants.
• The exhibition to take place under the historic beams of the Guesten Hall Roof.
