How long is a piece of string? What makes the world turn? And why does chocolate taste so good? Nothing is off limits at Cheltenham Science Festival. Every year the festival hosts the world’s greatest scientists, futurologists and thought-leaders to help make sense of the world around us.

Visitors are guaranteed a creatively curated programme to spark curiosity, with lots of free family activities alongside ticketed events.

Check out FameLab - the largest, public facing, science communication competition and training programme in the world, and VOICEBOX - a visually striking, Instagrammable space which is home to free events for young talent. Topics addressed include fiction, the arts, politics, lifestyle and science, exploring everything from spoken word to mental health and activism.
