A summer wrestling, music, drag, and comedy extravaganza curated by Birmingham chaos merchants Foka Wolf and Tat Vision is set to elbow drop into independent city venue Nortons Digbeth on Friday 25 July 2025.

Cheekily named in a homage to classic wrestling tournaments as well as the bin strike currently plaguing the second city, The Royal Brumble: Bindependence Day promises a collision of culture across a seven-hour experience.

The event will also help to raise funds for city charity St Basils, a Digbeth-based charity and housing association with a track record of almost 50 years of providing a holistic range of accommodation and support services to young people aged 16-25 who are homeless, vulnerable or at risk.

Devised by nationally-acclaimed Birmingham-based subversive street artist Foka Wolf alongside cult city artist and comedian Tat Vision, the special evening event will feature high octane wrestling provided by Pro Wrestling Live in a full-size outdoor ring at the Meriden Street venue.

Tat Vision said: “After catching a wrestling match at a fun fair, we knew we had to bring it to Birmingham for our next variety night.

“Wrestling has got it all: drama, action, and some gnarly costumes. It's great getting caught up in the raw energy, the storylines, and backing your favourite to win.

“The thought of setting up a ring up in Nortons, with real professional wrestlers, feels electric!”

As well as the opportunity for attendees to try out moves in a safe environment under the watchful eye of trained professionals, fans at the summer special can catch live performances and DJ sets from The Big Hell, The Crystal Teardrop, Maxx Gentleman, Pork Chop and Shall We.

Foka Wolf, the anonymous British artist known for their political and satirical artworks across Birmingham and London, as well as parodies of popular culture, said: “We're facing AI, virtual amusement and doom-scrolling at ever-increasing levels.

“We want to bring entertainment back to reality at the same time as supporting real life live performances from West Midlands legends!.

“The audience should expect a special mix of interactive fun with actual humans - it's going to be chaotic, there's going to be real excitement, and you'll be able to actually feel the sweat!”

A special appearance from popular drag act Yshee Black, games, art auctions and surprises, all based around 1980s and 1990s wrestling culture, will complete the night.
