One of Birmingham’s leading live music and cultural destinations, Forum Digbeth, has announced a major expansion that will double its capacity from 2,000 to 4,000 with the addition of a brand-new adjoining warehouse space, The Annexe.
Run by the team behind Forum Birmingham, which closed permanently in April due to the closure of the Corporation Square building by its landlords, Forum Digbeth opened earlier this summer at the former Roller Jam site in Digbeth. Now, with the planned acquisition and redevelopment of an adjacent warehouse, the expansion marks a new era for large-scale live music, club events, and immersive experiences in the city.
The Annexe will officially open its doors on 20 December with Cru2, followed by DnB Allstars’ massive New Year’s Eve celebration, cementing the venue’s position as one of the UK’s most exciting multi-room event spaces. More shows are pencilled for 2026 with Live Nation, Louder and Bongo Bingo all on board.
This expansion shows their commitment to pushing Birmingham’s nightlife forward. Giving the city more capacity, stronger production and a space that opens the door to bigger, more ambitious shows for artists and promoters.
