A brand new coffee shop will open its doors at Setl this winter, bringing specially selected Columbian and Brazilian blends to Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
Besa is the creation of Claire Di Palma and Alex Vorfi who are fulfilling a long-held dream of opening their first coffee outlet. The pair are familiar faces to many Jewellery Quarter residents as they also own The Eagle Kickboxing Academy. Since 2012 they have trained more than 4,000 martial arts students and have produced several champions.
Located on Ludgate Hill, just off St Paul’s Square, Besa is sure to prove popular whether you’re looking for a quiet moment, meeting friends or grabbing a drink to go. Alongside its regular menu of South American blends, the Besa team will also be brewing up a range of seasonal specials, with locally baked cakes and pastries for those with a sweet tooth.
Besa’s interior will be designed to reflect the heritage and history of the Jewellery Quarter and the industries that flourished in the area, with accents of silver, gold and steel throughout.
Setl, just off St Paul’s Square, is one of the Jewellery Quarter’s newest residential buildings. Developed by HBD, part of Henry Boot, its calming design and luxury hotel-style amenities have quickly made it one of Birmingham’s most sought-after addresses.
