Popular pizza brand Pizza Pilgrims are opening a restaurant in Bullring.

Founded in London, they serve slow proved Neapolitan pizza in their pizzerias, at events across the UK and through Pizza in the Post. The dough is made fresh daily and they 'source the best ingredients Italy has to offer'.

In 2012, founders Thom & James decided to quit their jobs and fly to the toe-end of Italy, pick up a three-wheel Piaggio Ape van and drive the 4,500km back to London, learning all they could about the true art of pizza making.

Pizzas include the classic Margherita; Mushroom & Truffle (a ricotta base with Fior di Latte mozzarella, sautéed mushrooms & white truffle oil); The 8-Cheese (ricotta, buffalo mozzarella, FDL mozzarella, gorgonzola DOP, Italian hard cheese, provola, pecorino romano DOP, and burrata. Finished with smoked chilli jam); and Salsiccia e Friarielli (Italian roasted sausage, wild broccoletti sautéed with garlic & chilli, smoked mozzarella & basil).

The opening date is to be announced.
