The exhilarating 100-ball cricket competition, The Hundred, is heading back to the world-renowned Edgbaston cricket ground this summer.
Returning for its fifth year, the Birmingham Phoenix teams, led by captains Ellyse Perry and Liam Livingstone, will face off against four rival teams, with each match day featuring both men's and women's games back-to-back.
The tournament kicks off with a local derby between Birmingham Phoenix and Trent Rockets on Friday 8 August from 3pm, as the two rivals go head-to-head in one of the most anticipated games in The Hundred schedule.
This year’s Birmingham Phoenix squad features exciting new talent, including Trent Boult, Georgia Voll and Emma Lamb, as well as fan-favourites Jacob Bethell and Emily Arlott, as they return to make their mark at Edgbaston.
Following the opening clash with Trent Rockets, Birmingham Phoenix will then host Oval Invincibles (12th August), London Spirit (17th August), and finally Welsh Fire (22nd August) in what looks set to be an unmissable and action-packed tournament. Each ticket gives fans access to both the men's and women's matches on each day, with ticket sales already in strong demand for the 2025 fixtures.
The Hundred offers the ideal day out for sports-loving families, with fantastic value tickets available from just £5 for under 16s, and adult tickets starting from £17 before the early bird deadline on 1 July. There's also dedicated family seating at the stadium, which offers a welcoming and fun-filled environment where families can enjoy watching the incredible cricket and entertainment together.
Further adding to Edgbaston's electrifying atmosphere, Birmingham Phoenix will welcome a brand-new resident DJ to the stadium to provide non-stop entertainment each match day. The DJ will be announced alongside on 19 June alongside four music acts that will perform live at every fixture, thanks to The Hundred's partnership with BBC Music Introducing.
New men’s team captain Liam Livingstone commented: “I’m absolutely delighted to be named as Birmingham Phoenix captain this year. Moeen has done a brilliant job so far and I hope to carry on where he left off to take this team forward.
Alongside the excitement of the four double-header matches, Birmingham Phoenix fans also have the chance to become part of The Hundred Club. Members can access a wide range of exclusive perks, including receiving all-new merchandise, watching the cricket action from the best seats in the stadium, enjoying a range of interactive games, plus the chance to meet cricket icons and Birmingham Phoenix players.
