Shrewsbury Flower Show is widely recognised as one of the UK's premier horticultural events, delivering a diverse programme of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
In addition to magnificent floral displays in the main marquees, this annual event culminates on both days with a grand finale firework display. Always a sight to behold, this popular element of the show see the skies above Shrewsbury illuminated with a theatrical display of vivid colour.
Artists confirmed for 2023 include Liberty X who will headline the main stage on the Friday evening. These will be supported by top ABBA tribute Watch that Scene who will perform a medley of the Swedish super troupers' greatest hits.
Pop duo Go West take top billing on Saturday evening and will be supported by Beatles tribute, Beatlemania.
Birmingham-based gardening enthusiast Adam Kirtland has also been announced for this year's event. Adam rose to fame with his View From The Potting Bench podcast and will share his passion for all things gardening at various points throughout the show.
More unusual attractions for 2023 include a penny farthing biplane - which looks like a plane but flies like, well, a bicycle! - and a mountain-bike aerial display team. Also keep an eye out for the giant sloths riding around on tricycles and stopping to take ‘slothies’ with sure-to-be-bewildered passers-by! Watch out for The Farmyard Circus who fuse heart warming songs, wheelbarrow acrobatics, and a bucket load of stunts to tell stories of working hard but playing harder.
Shrewsbury Flower Show also features a dedicated kids area with its programme of activities to keep youngsters entertained. These include a giant obstacle course, craft tent, face painting, circus skills and balloon modelling.
The event returns to The Quarry Park, Shrewsbury on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 August. What's On are offering you the chance to win a pair of Friday tickets.
Competition closes Monday 7 August.
