When it comes to keeping your youngsters entertained during the October half-term school holiday, Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery has got it covered.

The town-centre venue is hosting a special Myths, Legends & Magic Trail, where youngsters can follow clues around the museum to uncover fascinating objects and discover ‘magical stories and legendary characters’. Drop-in activities are also available, including magic-potion mixing, writing spooky spells and seasonal crafts.

For older visitors, Museum Ghost Tours (Friday 30 & Saturday 31 October) offer a chance to discover the venue’s darker side, including cellars and former prison cells not usually open to the public.
