BAFTA Cymru winning actor, writer, and director Celyn Jones will be heading to the Old Market Hall Cinema in Shrewsbury on Sunday 7 June for a special Q&A following the screening of his latest film Madfabulous.
Best known for his roles in Manhunt, The Almond and the Seahorse (co-director), and Chuck Chuck Baby, the Old Market Hall Cinema invites audiences to enjoy a special screening ofMadfabulous, followed by an insightful Q&A led by Celyn Jones, as he tells all about the world of filmmaking, and the stories behind making MadFabulous.
Inspired by a true story, Madfabulous is a charming biopic about the 5th Marquess of Anglesey, whose defiant eccentricities sent shockwaves through the upper-class elite. Led fearlessly by rising star and BAFTA nominee Callum Scott Howells (It’s a Sin, The Beautiful Game), three-time BAFTA nominee Rupert Everett (The Happy Prince, An Ideal Husband) and Ruby Stokes (Jay Kelly, Bridgerton), the film premiered at the BFI Flare Festival in March, receiving praise from critics for its lavish set and refreshing take on queer history.
