The Happy, Healthy and Active Holidays scheme is back for summer and bookings are now open for eligible children and young people across Telford and Wrekin.
Organised by Telford & Wrekin Council and funded by the Department for Education’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, the scheme offers fully funded enriching sessions for children from reception to Year 11 who are eligible for income related free school meals.
Running from Saturday 19 July to Sunday 31 August, the summer programme includes over 100 sessions across the borough. Activities range from forest adventures, football camps to robotics, coding, crafts, art workshops, and more.
Each eligible child can attend 8 full-day sessions or 16 half-day sessions, with every session including a funded nutritious meal. Many activities are fully accessible and designed to support children and young people with SEND.
As well as the Happy Health and Active Holidays programme, families can enjoy a wide range of free and low-cost summer activities across the borough. This includes the Council’s popular 10 by 10 initiative, which encourages children to try ten exciting experiences before the age of ten. Find out more: 10by10.telford.gov.uk
