Shrewsbury’s multi award-winning youth theatre group, Get Your Wigle On (GYWO), is on the lookout for boys aged 13–18 to join their upcoming production of Les Misérables – School Edition, set to take place at Theatre Severn in February 2027.
This production offers a rare opportunity for young male performers to take part in one of the world’s most iconic and thrilling musicals. Participants will perform at Shrewsburys Theatre Severn, complete with full costumes, scenery, and the excitement of live theatre.
GYWO is casting all male roles, including Jean Valjean, Javert, Marius, Enjorlas and the full ensemble. Whether taking a lead part or joining the ensemble, performers will gain valuable experience, build confidence, and develop their skills in singing, acting, and stage performance.
The group has a strong track record with Les Misérables, having staged this production four times over the past 15 years. Many of GYWO’s former lead male performers in Les Mis have gone on to train at prestigious drama schools and secure professional roles in the West End, touring productions, cruise lines, film, and television, making this an exceptional opportunity for aspiring young performers.
Rehearsals take place on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm. Video audition submissions close Monday 16 February, with call-back auditions on Wednesday 18 February. Boys must be aged 18 or under at the time of performance.
For audition details and instructions on submitting a video, contact GYWO via WhatsApp on 07450 267136.
