Diners have already claimed 1,500 vouchers for Shrewsbury Restaurant Week - 50% more than the 1,000 vouchers claimed across the whole of last year’s event.

The three most-claimed offers so far are Bobby’s Tacos’ three tacos for £10, Plantkind’s £5 falafel box, and two crumbles for £10 at Gelatistry.

Steve Guy, freelance chef, hospitality advocate and curator of Shrewsbury Restaurant Week, said: “The response this year has been brilliant, and it’s great to see such a mix of venues at the top, from tacos and falafel to crumble. There’s a real buzz around town, and plenty of offers still waiting to be claimed. We've even had some late entries from businesses – so we encourage customers to check that offers page again if it's been a few days!"
