Looking for something fun, creative and affordable to do with the family this summer holiday? Join Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery on Wednesdays from 10am to 1pm for their Summer Craft Sessions, featuring free drop-in craft activities led by their fantastic team of volunteers.

These relaxed activities are perfect for families visiting the museum during the school holidays and are free. Donations are always welcome to help support the museum and future family activities.

Wednesday 12 August - Costume
Design a paper shield in the Balcony Gallery and create and decorate a paper costume in the Shropshire Gallery

Wednesday 19 August - Travel
Create a map of your own island using collage materials and design and colour your own expedition vessel inspired by Darwin's Voyage of the Beagle

Wednesday 26 August - Animals
Create prehistoric-inspired cave paintings using handprints and design your own animal inspired by Darwin's theory of evolution
