Indie icons Starsailor are the first act announced for Shrewsbury's Heal Festival 2026. Celebrating their 25th anniversary, they will perform on the Saturday evening.

Heal Festival returns to DMOS West Mid Showground, Shrewsbury on 11-12 September, and will feature more than 120 attractions and acts.

Receiving the Best Festival award at the Shropshire Music Awards in 2024, it will feature multiple stages and arenas, activities for all age groups, fairground attractions, games, streetfood, unique music zones such as the electric meadow and Caribbean inspired Jam:down, and a wellness village.

In addition to music, free wellbeing demos and childrens activities will also take place throughout the weekend.

Starsailor consists of its original line-up: James Walsh (vocals/guitar), James Stelfox (bass), Ben Byrne (drums) and Barry Westhead (keyboards). Since debuting in 2000, Starsailor’s storied history has taken in countless memorable moments, from two hit albums with Love Is Here and Silence Is Easy, through to a run of hit singles including Silence Is Easy, Alcoholic, Four To The Floor and Good Souls, plus an NME Award and a major tour with The Rolling Stones.

More artist announcements are expected over the coming months.
