Dog lovers from across Staffordshire are being invited to take part in what is set to be the county's biggest ever Staffy-themed dog walk this summer.

The Big Staffy Stroll will take place at Weston Park on Saturday 18 July, bringing together dogs, their owners and families for a special celebration marking the finale of the popular Staffy Trail. The event will conclude the 10-week county-wide attraction, which has seen giant Staffordshire Bull Terrier sculptures displayed across Staffordshire towns and cities.

Organisers are expecting hundreds of visitors to attend the walk, which is open to all dog breeds. Participants will set off on a guided route through Weston Park's gardens and landscaped parkland, offering a chance for owners and their pets to enjoy the estate's scenic surroundings together.

Alongside the walk, visitors will be able to take part in a mini Staffy Trail, enjoy refreshments and meet representatives from the Senior Staffy Club Dog Rescue, a charity dedicated to supporting older Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

The Staffy Trail was launched as part of celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of Staffordshire Day. The initiative features a collection of large Staffordshire Bull Terrier sculptures located across Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent and Tamworth, encouraging residents and visitors to explore the county's heritage, attractions and town centres.

Tickets for the event are priced at £6.50 per person, while children under four and dogs can attend free of charge. The stroll will run from 10am until midday. Tickets can be purchased here.
