A breast cancer themed walking event hosted by the region’s primary cancer charity is set to return to Shropshire this October.

The ‘eyebrow raising’ Titty Trail is an innovative fundraising event from Lingen Davies Cancer Support to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, promote the importance of early diagnosis, and boost funds to support local people with cancer.

Walkers have a choice of two routes – Shropshire and Mid Wales – or can take on both 10.5-mile walks in the same weekend. The event will start in Aberystwyth on Saturday 10 October and head along a stunning coastal path before coming to Ironbridge on Sunday 11 October with a circular route showcasing the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This annual event is timed for October to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Over 400 people took part last year, raising more than £55,000 to support local people affected by the disease.

After three years in the Shropshire Hills, with last year’s event taking place in Bishop’s Castle, the Shropshire route is moving east for the first time to explore the spectacular Ironbridge Gorge.

The Ironbridge event has been sponsored by Shropshire Homes - an award-winning independent house builder developing quality homes in Shropshire and the surrounding area for almost 40 years.

There are three ways to complete the Titty Trail – a trail run, guided walk, or self-guided walk. Tickets are £35 per person, or £60 for those taking on both routes, and include a branded t-shirt, medal keepsake, and lots of snacks along the way. Tickets are available at lingendavies.co.uk
