Shropshire Council’s Old Market Hall is to host a public screening of a new documentary exploring how young members of Ukrainian community are adjusting to life in Shropshire.
Made by locally based Ukrainian film maker Lora Arkhypenko, Children (PG), shows how young members of the Ukrainian community are adjusting to their new lives in the county. Not just a film about war or emigration, the film - which also received an honourable mention at the Brighton Rocks International Film Festival, is also a story about a generation growing up between two worlds, learning to find its place in a new reality while holding on to its roots.
The film screening takes place at The Old Market Hall on Saturday 7 June, after which Lora (pictured) will conduct a question and answer session with the audience.
