A new charity is being formed in Shropshire to build on the wellbeing work of Jenna Blair Yoga Community, and applications are now open for founding trustees to help shape its future.

The charity will focus on making yoga and holistic wellbeing more accessible to people who may face barriers, which could be due to stress, ill health, financial hardship, or social isolation. As the organisation works through the process of registering with the Charity Commission, it is seeking a team of passionate and committed individuals to join the founding trustee board.

"We’re creating something that truly reflects the needs of our communities,” says founding trustee Jenna Blair. “The word "yoga" means connection - this is about kindness, community and people's long-term physical and mental wellbeing. We’re looking for trustees who want to help shape that vision and make a real difference.”

The new charity will offer a range of wellbeing-focused activities, including yoga, alternative and creative therapies, delivered in partnership with local organisations and tailored for different needs, from cancer support and menopause wellbeing to mental health recovery and refugee inclusion.

Trustee roles are voluntary, with an estimated commitment of 4–6 hours per month and are open to applicants from across Shropshire and beyond. The team is especially keen to hear from individuals with experience in; finance or accountancy, HR, safeguarding, fundraising, marketing/PR and Community development or lived experience.

Expressions of Interest are open until Thursday 12 September 2025, with informal interviews to follow in the week beginning 29 September. To request a Role Description and Expression of Interest Form, please email jennablair@hotmail.com
