Theatre Severn have unveiled a programme of open-air theatre as they team up with Shrewsbury Castle for another summer of alfresco fun. Expect Shakespeare classics, Mini Pop Parties, family favourites and more, from some of the UK’s best touring theatre companies.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of Shrewsbury Castle, audiences are encouraged to bring blankets, cushions, camping chairs and a picnic, whilst being entertained by a wonderful line-up of live performances in July and August.
On Thursday 23 July, The Three Inch Fools present an epic tale of Arthurian adventure and medieval mayhem in King Arthur & The Holy Fail.
Taylor Swift fans can enjoy a concert-style show with music from The Life of a Showgirl, plus all the best Eras tour vibes at the Mini Pop Party on Sunday 26 July.
On Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 July, the ever-popular Lord Chamberlain's Men return with Shakespeare’s Othello - one of the most captivating and thrilling plays ever written.
The Pantaloons Theatre Company return on Sunday 2 August with The Complete History of Britain, retelling the greatest moments from the country’s past in a variety of genres!
On Wednesday 5 August Quantum Theatre are back with an enchanting new adaptation of two of Beatrix Potter’s best-loved Tales, The Tales of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny.
The Alfresco Actors cordially invite you to an uproarious adventure with P.G. Wodehouse’s beloved characters in Jeeves and Wooster on Sunday 9 August.
