Shrewsbury’s musical theatre company Get Your Wigle On has announced open auditions for its upcoming production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, set to take place at Theatre Severn this November.

The company is inviting performers from across Shrewsbury and the surrounding area to audition for this vibrant and much-loved musical.

With a wide range of principal and ensemble roles available, the production offers an exciting opportunity for singers, dancers and actors of all experience levels to get involved in a large-scale local production.

The company is particularly keen to hear from strong vocalists and those with dance experience. The group run weekly rehearsals which provide not only performance opportunities, but also a welcoming and supportive community environment.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a fast-paced, family-friendly musical known for its energy, humour and iconic score. Audiences can look forward to well-known songs including Any Dream Will Do, Close Every Door, and Go, Go, Go Joseph, brought to life with the company’s trademark creativity and flair.

Following the success of We Will Rock You and ahead of this summer’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the production marks another major step for Get Your Wigle On’s growing adult company. The organisation continues to champion accessible, high-quality theatre in Shrewsbury, providing opportunities for local performers to take part in productions staged in a professional venue.
