Rock Choir Shropshire will be joined by Toscana Strings and soprano Joanna Cooke for two fundraising concerts at Shrewsbury Abbey next month.

Titled The Power of Song, both concerts will take place at the venue on Saturday 20 June in aid of Lingen Davies Cancer Support. All proceeds from the concerts - as well as 10% of proceeds from a licenced bar and coffee bar - will be donated to the local charity.

The programme will feature soaring melodies and rocking anthems - from Hallelujah to Ave Maria, Sweet Child o' Mine to A Thousand Years and beyond. The first concert kicks off at 3pm and the second at 7.30pm.
