Book lovers are being invited to a brand-new community event this weekend as Severn Hospice hosts its first-ever Big Book Fair.
Taking place on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October, from 10am to 4pm at the charity's Refresh café in Bicton, the free event will bring together hundreds of pre-loved books, vinyl records and sheet music, all waiting to find a new home.
Visitors can explore everything from bestselling fiction and biographies to cookery books, children's stories and hidden literary gems. Whether you're searching for your next page-turner, something to entertain young bookworms or hoping to uncover a forgotten favourite, there will be plenty to discover, organisers promise.
Families are welcome throughout the weekend, with a dedicated children's area and free story-time sessions hosted by John Britton at midday on both days. Refresh café will be open for takeaway drinks and light refreshments and four-legged friends are welcome too.
Admission is free and visitors are welcome to drop in at any time between 10am and 4pm on both days.
