Telford & Wrekin Council has unveiled its 2026 Culture & Events programme, bringing a full year of vibrant, family-friendly and culture-rich events to locations across the Borough.

Running from April through to December, the programme includes returning favourites such as the Telford Balloon Fiesta and Armed Forces Family Day, alongside two brand-new additions for 2026.

The line-up showcases the Borough’s parks, heritage sites and outdoor spaces, promising memorable experiences for residents and visitors alike.

2026 events programme:
Spring into St George’s Day – 25 April 2026, Telford Town Park
A free, family-friendly celebration packed with performances, activities and entertainment.

NEW: Embers Fire Festival – 2 & 3 May 2026, Dale End Park, Ironbridge
A brand-new event for Telford, supported by Telford & Wrekin Council, bringing a spectacular mix of fire cooking, performance and family foodie fun in the heart of The Ironbridge Gorge.

Telford Walk Week – 25–31 May 2026, Locations across Telford and Wrekin
A week of guided walks and activities encouraging people of all ages to get outdoors, explore local routes and support their health and wellbeing.

Armed Forces Family Fun Day – 28 June 2026, Broadoaks Playing Field, Donnington
A community celebration honouring the Armed Forces, featuring parades, military displays, stalls and entertainment.

NEW: Krazy Races – 12 July 2026, Telford Town Park
Making its Telford debut, this high-energy, crowd-pleasing soapbox derby brings creative builds, friendly competition and plenty of family fun.

Telford Film Festival, Summer 2026, Various locations
A celebration of film, showcasing a mix of big-screen hits, sing-alongs and special events for film lovers, with full details to be announced later in the year.

Telford Balloon Fiesta – 28, 29 and 30 August 2026, Telford Town Park
One of the Borough’s signature events, featuring hot air balloons, live entertainment, food and activities, plus the famous Night Glow taking place on Friday evening.

Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Festival – September, Ironbridge Gorge
A celebration of arts, culture and heritage in one of the UK’s most iconic historic locations.

Telford Day, 29 November 2026, Southwater
A celebration of Telford bringing communities together in the town centre, with entertainment, activities and events marking pride in the Borough.

Festive Gardens – December, Telford Town Park
A festive favourite transforming Telford Town Park into a magical illuminated garden, offering an atmospheric festive experience for all ages.
