Families and film lovers can now see the full line-up for this summer's Telford Film Festival, with a programme of free or low-cost outdoor screenings set to take place in parks and community spaces across Telford and Wrekin.

Presented by Telford Theatre on Tour, the new festival brings films directly into communities while Oakengates Theatre undergoes refurbishment, offering residents the chance to enjoy cinema in a variety of outdoor settings throughout August.

The festival opens on 31 July at Harper Adams University with a screening of Disney Pixar's Hoppers, before continuing with a programme of family favourites and singalong events across the Borough.

The full programme, which includes some free and some low cost screenings, is as follows:

- Wicked: 21 August 2026, 6pm, Telford Town Park
- Matilda: 23 August 2026, 6pm, Telford Town Park

Telford Theatre on Tour has been developed to ensure residents can continue to enjoy a varied programme of cultural events while Oakengates Theatre undergoes refurbishment. The initiative brings theatre, film and live entertainment into communities across the Borough, supporting the Council's ambition to make arts and culture accessible to more residents in more locations.
