An ‘unhinged retelling’ of A Christmas Carol by Shoddy Theatre

If slapstick is the name of your game comedy-wise, then bag yourself a seat for this high-energy show from the well-regarded Shoddy Theatre.

A small group of one-time East 15 Acting School students, the ensemble have previously made a significant splash at the Edinburgh Fringe, where they were nominated for three Offie Awards for their coming-of-age comedy The Olive Boy.

They’re visiting two Midlands venues this month with their own ‘unhinged retelling’ of A Christmas Carol, in which one actor, a panicking stage manager, and a deluded director are left to save the show after the rest of the cast fail to turn up (see Done To Death, By Jove, elsewhere on this page, for a similar scenario).
