Shrek the Musical follows the world’s favourite ogre who, having been sent out into the world by his parents aged just seven, and mocked and feared all his life, settles in a swamp in happy isolation.
But his swampy peace is quickly disrupted by a group of fairy tale characters who’ve been evicted by the pint-sized Lord Farquaad. When Shrek agrees to help the fairy tale characters get their homes back it starts a journey which sees him joined by a Donkey sidekick and finding his love, Princess Fiona.
Based on the smash-hit Dreamworks animation movies, Shrek the Musical has become a firm theatre favourite since it was first staged on Broadway in 2008.
