The Birmingham City FC Foundation will be hitting the road this summer with a number of football-focused Summer Camps across Birmingham and Staffordshire, perfect for all budding youngsters.

Hosted in Moseley, Kingshurst and Rugeley, each camp will run for up to five weeks of the upcoming school holiday, with the Foundation’s UEFA and FA accredited coaches leading each session, working on ball control, shooting, and skills, with opportunities to play in small-sided matches every day.

The camps focus on inclusivity, with all abilities welcome and groups made up of matching skillsets and ages. Each group is tailored so players looking to impress the Foundation talent identification team will be able to shine, and those taking their first kicks will be able to build confidence.

Queensbridge School and Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst will be the host venues for the Birmingham camps, with the Foundation coaches returning to Rugeley Leisure Centre for the Staffordshire sessions.

Registration for each location begins at 8.45am, allowing for parents to drop their youngster off on their commute. Once signed in, the players will begin a warm-up and then break off into their training groups. At midday, everyone breaks for lunch, and the football resumes afterwards until 3pm.

Whilst football is on the agenda across each camp, the priority for all coaches is to encourage sportsmanship and build the character traits of being a good teammate. Players in every group will have the chance to win prizes including match tickets and signed merchandise, with winners selected based on kindness, helpfulness and willingness to learn.

The camps at Queensbridge School and Rugeley Leisure Centre will run for the first five weeks of the summer holiday, with the Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst sessions running on weeks one, three and five. The camps are open to all children aged 5-14-years-old.

A full five days of coaching is priced at £75 and each course can be booked here.
