Kwanzaa Collective UK will host a free family day to celebrate Black History Month 2025 at The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery this weekend.

The creative, cultural family day will include a celebration of the art, music and food of people of African and Caribbean descent, with a wide range of workshops and performances for all to enjoy.

As a special centenary celebration, the day will focus on the achievements of local Black figureheads and influencers, from the past and present day.

The day will include craft workshops, dancing, live music and singing, Ghanaian acrobatics, stalls and more.

This year’s Black History Month theme is “Standing Firm in Power and Pride,” a powerful tribute to the resilience, strength, and unwavering commitment to progress that defines the Black community in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and Beyond.

Black History Month Celebrations take place at The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery, Stoke-on-Trent on Saturday 4 October between 11am - 5pm.
