The cast of Theatre Severn’s forthcoming pantomime Aladdin were unveiled this week, as the venue prepares to bring magic and mayhem to the county this Christmas with their most magical show yet - it’s going to be a GENIE-OUSLY funny pantomime!

Theatre Severn revealed that almost 60% of tickets for Aladdin have been snapped up already, 4 months before the show opens on Friday 27 November.

The pantomime is written by Telford-born Paul Hendy and produced by the award-winning Evolution Productions, the same team behind more than a decade of five-star, smash-hit pantomimes at Theatre Severn.

Brad Fitt, Shropshire’s legendary pantomime dame also returns to direct the show and star in his 15th season at Theatre Severn in the role of Dame Dolly.

Comedy favourite Tommy J Rollason (ITV Britain’s Got Talent) returns for his fifth year at Theatre Severn in the role of Charlie. Cara Dudgeon (Fairy Bowbells in Dick Whittington, Shrewsbury 2025) also returns as the Spirit of the Ring. They will be joined by Damian Patton as PC World and West End star Mark Oxtoby as Ivan Tochacha, with further casting to be revealed.

Aladdin was the first ever Evolution-produced panto at Theatre Severn but as always, this year's production will feature a fresh new script. And, with refurbishment taking place over the summer, Theatre Severn's auditorium will also be as shiny as a magic lamp by the time Christmas comes around, with new seats and carpets.
