The Regent Theatre has announced that Stoke-on-Trent’s favourite panto star, Jonathan Wilkes, is back for this year’s panto Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs this festive season.
Returning to the stage from Friday 11 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, Jonny will star as Muddles.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will mark 22 years since Jonny first starred in the Regent Theatre pantomime. Alongside panto, Jonny is no stranger to the stage, having enjoyed a varied career including lead roles in Chicago, The Rocky Horror Show, Guys and Dolls, and Grease, and held hosting duties on You’ve Been Framed and Love on a Saturday Night on television.
Jonny Wilkes said: “Stoke-on-Trent will always be a special place for me, and the Regent Theatre panto family is something I cherish. I’m delighted to be returning for another festive season. I can’t wait to be back on stage and share the fun of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs with the audiences who have supported us for so long and shout AY UP ME DUCKS all over again!”
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is staged by Crossroads Pantomimes, the world’s biggest pantomime producer, led by Michael Harrison and the team behind recent Regent Theatre Christmas successes including last year’s production of Cinderella.
Michael Harrison, Chief Executive of Crossroads Pantomimes said: “Jonny’s return will be welcome news for Stoke-on-Trent audiences, who have enjoyed seeing him in the Regent Theatre panto for over two decades. We are delighted to have him back for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and we look forward to staging a spectacular family show filled with comedy, magic and festive cheer.”
Cheryl Taylor, Theatre Director of the Regent Theatre and Victoria Hall said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Jonny back to the Regent Theatre for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Year after year, he brings a rare mix of heart, humour and sheer stage magic that our audiences instantly connect with. We can’t wait to see what he’ll bring to the stage this festive season!”
