One of Staffordshire’s biggest annual fireworks events is set to light up the skies once again this autumn, with organisers celebrating a major fundraising milestone.

The Staffordshire Fireworks Extravaganza will return to the Staffordshire County Showground on Sunday 1 November, bringing together fireworks, family entertainment, food and drink for what has become a popular fixture in the county’s events calendar. Since its launch, the event has attracted around 5,000 visitors each year and has now raised more than £100,000 for charities, community groups and good causes.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Stafford Castle, the extravaganza has supported a wide range of organisations, including Katharine House Hospice, Midlands Air Ambulance, Staffordshire Women’s Aid, Samaritans, local food banks, schools and community projects across Stafford and the surrounding area.

Despite rising event costs, organisers have frozen ticket prices for 2026, with adult tickets remaining at £12 and children's tickets at £3.

Richard Mitcherson, organiser of the event, said: “Since we started the Fireworks Extravaganza in 2019, we’ve raised more than £100,000 for charities, community groups and good causes, many of them right here in Stafford and the surrounding area.

“This year, despite rising costs, we’ve frozen ticket prices because we want to keep the event as affordable as possible for local families while continuing to raise vital funds for the organisations we support.”

Visitors can look forward to a professional fireworks display by Pyro 2000, alongside a children's funfair and a selection of food and drink stalls, making it a full evening of entertainment for families.

Gates open at 4pm, with the fireworks display scheduled to begin at 7pm. Tickets must be purchased online in advance, with no sales available on the gate. Around 5,000 people are expected to attend.
