Local officers and emergency service partners are gearing up to meet the families and local communities for Staffordshire Police's open day this summer.

The popular event will be held at the Staffordshire County Showground from 11am until 4pm on Saturday 14 June.

The day promises to be packed full of activities and demonstrations from a number of different specialist teams, giving local communities a glimpse of what they do on a daily basis.

The Ministry of Defence will have an airsoft range there, which is free to take part in, along with armed response officers, working at heights team, collision investigators, police vehicles and police dogs.

Entry to the event is completely free and food and refreshments will be on offer throughout the day.

Police cadets will also be carrying out drills for people to see on the day, alongside arena performances, activities for children, vehicle displays, and food stalls.

Chief Constable Chris Noble said: “It was really pleasing to see so many families and local people engaging with officers and staff at last year’s event, and I hope this summer is a continuation of that.

“This gives us a real opportunity to engage on a personal level with the people that we’re working hard to protect each and every day. It also gives our communities a chance to see what we’re doing to keep them and their loved ones safe across Staffordshire.

“An event to look forward to where I hope to see you and your friends and family on the day.”
