Black Country Living Museum is extending its opening hours this August, giving visitors the chance to enjoy a long summer evening filled with bostin’ Black Country food, retro drinks, vintage fairground rides and live music. The perfect way to start the weekend!

Every Friday night in August, the Museum will stay open until 8pm, with a late entry special offer, for admission after 4pm tickets are just £8.49.

There’s plenty of good old-fashioned fun to be had as you delve into the incredible stories of the Black Country’s past. Ride on a vintage bus, challenge yourself with traditional street games, learn your ABCs backwards during an authentic Edwardian school lesson, watch laugh-out-loud vintage films in a 1920s cinema, play in the park and stroll along the canal at the historic boat dock, famously featured in global smash-hit drama Peaky Blinders.

Swing into the Sixties and spend your summer days bopping along to vinyl, tasting bostin’ Black Country delights, learn how to shop in the 1940s with a ration book, try on historic clothing… and that’s not even half of what you can discover!

Don’t forget to stop by at the historic funfair too. The star attraction, the Steam Gallopers, have been seen-on-screen in such titles as Call the Midwife, Rocketman, and Paddington 2. Plus, have a go at some classic miniature golf, new for this summer. This beautiful collection of vintage rides and attractions will have you and the family laughing for hours!
