As orchestras go, Blackheart is a particularly small one, comprising just two members: the multi-award-winning Chrissy Mostyn and Rick Pilkington. Hailed as a modern-day Pink Floyd and creating highly emotional contemporary rock music - in the process playing in excess of a dozen instruments - the talented twosome are widely admired within the music industry. Genesis founder Steve Hackett, for example, has called their music “powerful and inspiring”, while Motorhead favourite Phil Campbell was even more effusive, describing their sound as “f***ing beautiful”.
